OHMelectronic announces release date for highly anticipated new album in early 2019

Vancouver electronic music pioneers Craig Joseph Huxtable (Landscape Body Machine, Noise Unit) and Chris Peterson (Front Line Assembly, Decree, Delerium) return with a brand new album and a brand new incarnation: OHMelectronic. Riding high on rave reviews from their debut album “Ohm” and performing globally with artists like Skinny Puppy, Severed Heads and RevCo, this electronic duo manages to once again produce a full length album that is at once a classic and a new iteration of the electro-industrial sound that Vancouver has become so famous for.

The combination of Craig Huxtable’s impassioned vocals and synth riffs with the sonic shaping and masterful mixing of Chris Peterson creates a powerful collection songs that are a perfect soundtrack for dark times. Exclusive Video Premiere: Ohm’s Music Video ‘When Robots F**k’

Vancouver’s ultra-dark electro band Öhm is the brainchild of industrial icons Chris Peterson and Craig Joseph Huxtable—both of whom are high-profile names in industrial music, having worked with iconic bands like Front Line Assembly, Unit 187, Decree, Noise Unit and Landscape Body Machine.

The pair joined forces two years ago, partly as a creative outlet beyond the scope of their other projects, and also as a way of sharing their unique artistic vision. The team-up soon evolved into a legitimate band, and this month they released their self-titled debut album comprised of ten dark, scary heavy-beat EDM overtures dubbed “dark disco meets pop-electro.”

One of the spookiest tracks on Öhm is the dystopian sci-fi nightmare “When Robots Fuck,” which became the subject of this animated short film by Geoff Mark, making its World Premiere right here. The cinematic atmospheres conjured by the band are paired with Mark’s surreal, debris-littered apocalyptic landscapes, where the machines have clearly taken over… and as you can see, they’re getting along just fine without us.
